Winter Break Adventures and Reset

Surfing, reading, cooking together, long conversations. No schedules. No pressure. Just being present....

Spent a week at the beach with friends. No agenda except relax and enjoy each other's company.

Surfing, reading, cooking together, long conversations. No schedules. No pressure. Just being present.

The ocean puts things in perspective. Problems that felt huge a week ago seem smaller when you're standing at the edge watching the sunset.

Came home and fell into comfortable rhythms with family. Morning coffee with Dad. Helping Mum in the garden. Evening walks. Simple stuff that reminds you what actually matters.

Read books that weren't textbooks. Let my mind wander without purpose. This undirected thinking is underrated - some of my best insights come when I'm not trying to have insights.

More active this break than during semester. Daily surfing and beach walks. Feel so much better physically and mentally. Need to prioritize movement even when busy. Especially when busy.

Recharged and ready. Bringing this calm back to university but knowing the semester will bring its own demands.
